Bargello Mitten
On March 10th I’ll be teaching the last of my Bargello for Beginners class at Rittenhouse Needlepoint. The mitten is a pattern out of Janet M. Perry’s Bargello Revisited. The classes coincided with a trunk show of her pieces at the shop. S Sampler
I stitched this needlepoint sampler as a gift for Ian this winter. I adapted it from a sampler class I helped to plan for the shop. For Ian’s I switched a few of the stitches, used merino wool, 16 mesh brown canvas, and added the Pequod.

TCAF 2012
I am super excited to announce that I was accepted to exhibit at this year’s Toronto Comic Arts Festival. I’m hoping to finish two or three new books this year, some collaborative work, a piece in an anthology, maybe some small prints, and a table quilt. MAJOR WORK TO DO, GO. I’m super interested in bargello, and not just because Apartment Therapy thinks it’s awesome too. I stitched this sampler to dip my toe in. Morrrrrrre, I think.

Beware ex boyfriends, I love how this book turned out. Here is Call Me Necronomiclown in its entirety. In physical form the comic is a single sheet, ink jet printed on loose leaf. Available on etsy, where I printed a love poem from Joey on the reverse.
