Bargello Mitten
On March 10th I’ll be teaching the last of my Bargello for Beginners class at Rittenhouse Needlepoint. The mitten is a pattern out of Janet M. Perry’s  Bargello Revisited.  The classes coincided with a trunk show of her pieces at the shop. For my class I livened up the design a bit by changing the colors, and the chevron on the side is my way to teach some basic Bargello rules. I...

S Sampler
I stitched this needlepoint sampler as a gift for Ian this winter. I adapted it from a sampler class I helped to plan for the shop. For Ian’s I switched a few of the stitches, used merino wool, 16 mesh brown canvas, and added the Pequod.

TCAF 2012
I am super excited to announce that I was accepted to exhibit at this year’s Toronto Comic Arts Festival. I’m hoping to finish two or three new books this year, some collaborative work, a piece in an anthology, maybe some small prints, and a table quilt. MAJOR WORK TO DO, GO. Heavy documentation to follow.

I’m super interested in bargello, and not just because Apartment Therapy thinks it’s awesome too. I stitched this sampler to dip my toe in. Morrrrrrre, I think.

Call me
Beware ex boyfriends, I love how this book turned out. Here is Call Me Necronomiclown in its entirety. In physical form the comic is a single sheet, ink jet printed on loose leaf. Available on etsy, where I printed a love poem from Joey on the reverse.

I am excited to be in Up & Coming: New Printmakers Make Their Mark, an exhibition open through the summer at Hunterdon Art Museum. The show got a nice write-up in the New Jersey Star-Ledger and I have my first press! Below you’ll find the full page (because newspapers are neat) followed by the blurb about me, misspelled though it may be. You can read all of the article’s...
